On this episode of Through the Aftermath, Shawn and Jonathan discuss the 72-hour survival kit and what every family should have for short-term survival in emergencies. We offer tips from Ready.gov and FEMA.gov. If you have any additional tips for short-term survival, let us know in the comments. We plan to have a long-term survival show in the near future, as well.
Fallout: New Vegas is discussed, including the talents of Wayne “Mr. Las Vegas” Newton. Fran and Julie see the handwriting on the wall (it spells net neutrality). Also discussed - World of Warcraft, The Transformers mmo, Bill Roper, Medal of Honor, Star Wars, Blue Ray and laser disks the size of a tire on a buick.
The topics of the week are Guild Wars 2, including the dynamic events system, and Julie decides that it really could be the future of mmos. Next we talk about World of Warcraft’s Cataclysm expansion. We save the best for last and spend a few minutes with Dr. Richard Bartle and chat about his upcoming award as a legend of gaming.

The Instance: “The BiPodCentennial” Join Scott and Randy as we celebrate our 200th episode of the show, and invite friends Veronica Belmont, Tom Merritt on with us. We have interviews with Blizzard's Russell Brower and Felicia Day as well, not to mention a CRAP ton of great stuff from everyone!
Gamescom news leads this week's show, as Ray, Matt, and Justin jet through the expo's various announcements, including Microsoft's new PC games, Ratchet and Clank, Resistance 3, Virtua Tennis, and more, plus the heap of release dates for the next few months (Portal 2! Donkey Kong!), the weird new Atlus game Catherine, and at the end of it all, a good old-fashioned guessing game.
The past couple months have been very busy for Yivvits and MrBubble but our hiatus is at an end! You'll find out all sorts of fun things in this episode such as MrBubble's move and what games we've been playing (or not playing). This one is a chance for you to catch up on what we've been doing but don't forget to let us know what YOU'VE been doing by sending us an e-mail or voice mail!
Bobby Kotick et al, easy going guys, slap a bear in the face. Blizzard tries to turn rotten lemons into lemonade and fails, but manages to keep spaceships out of World of Warcraft (sort of). The sisters step through the really, REALLY Dark Portal with some fantastic ideas from The Pink Pigtail Inn [http://www.pinkpigtailinn.com/] and realize that it’s the journey that counts and not the destination. Breakfast isn’t ready because Julie can’t fry an egg in her bra, but the sisters pass the roles anyway. And Fran puzzles out the first great game.
It's part 2 of Jonathan's Through the Intromath series! Give it a listen, as well as the first installment, and head on over to the survey page to vote for your favorite!
As usual, you can also keep in touch with us via email, the Facebook page (with a discussion board!) or Twitter.

Then it's on to the *really* big news, you know, like Billy Mitchell reclaiming his top spots on Donkey Kong, the reveal of Double Fine's Costume Quest, the possible revival of Duke Nukem Forever, the alleged PSP phone, and the wacky toys Activision is packing in with Call of Duty. After all that, at1UP's Mike Cruz and Alan Johnson join in at the end and give us their own BioShock wish list.
