New on this episode of the Joystiq Podcast:
Duke Nukem Forever is fully coming out. Also new? GSM static at the beginning. Sorry about that, by the way.
Also, some chat about
Outland and some dudes flop on beanbags.

We've just touched down in Seattle for PAX Prime, but we've already made a brief stop in Redmond to check out a few hours of
Fable 3 and get hands-on with the new Xbox 360 controller.
Chris and Justin found a few minutes as they waited for a pizza to talk about what they've seen so far. So come, pull a chair, grab a beer and enjoy the calm before the storm with us.

It's the calm before the autumnal storm, and we're marking the peace with some new releases like
Mafia 2 and
Shank. And, of course, Chris is playing a game from 1974, but you can just skip over that part.
Big thanks to Jesse Walsh for his couch co-op photoshop.

If you think you're surprised, just imagine how we feel: There are 150 episodes of the Joystiq Podcast. Yeah. We know. Bizarre. We've marked the occasion with our shortest show in months,
cause that's how we roll.
Thanks to Alan Black for the 'shop, and apologies to all of you for using a picture so clearly designed to be posted several months ago. We ... we had nowhere else to turn.

In what's probably the manliest edition of the Joystiq Podcast yet, we've got all the shower remodeling news you CRAVE. As if that weren't enough (and it is, you know) we've got
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World,
Monday Night Combat and, for reasons that are still unclear,
Halo 3: ODST.
Plus there's nigh-infinite talk about ... well,
you know. Thanks to Alan Black for his elegant photoshop blend of video games, cinema, teenage romance and our own egomania.

So, how does one follow up last week's groundbreaking reveal of
Halo Creek? Why, with 74 or so minutes of jibber jabber. Sure, we somehow find time to answer life's deep questions, like "Will Microsoft support Kinect?" and "Will Chris return to
Final Fantasy 13 one day?" For the answers to those, and other, important questions, you'll have to listen to the show.
And thanks to Michael DiMauro for his masterful work on the official
Halo Creek boxart, coming soon from Joystiq Publishing.

Honestly, we don't even know what to say about this one. When we don't have many video games to talk about, we start making our own, like
Dolphin Olympics 3 and
Halo: The Creek, which is both about
Dawson's Creek and a social game, but also Halo.
The is the podcast where you either unsubscribe or emerge a changed man or woman. It's hard to predict, frankly. A big danke schoen to Alan Black whose photoshop is a big hit with the sportos, the motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, wastoids, dweebies and dickheads

Like any good edition of the Joystiq Podcast, this one starts with a pretty normal discussion of games like

Sure, you could listen to a podcast about video games, but there are plenty of those. Wouldn't you rather listen to dude talk about Quantum Leap for an hour and a half? ... OK, fine, there are
some video games discussed (
Dragon Quest IX and
Crackdown 2, for example) but it's
mainly Quantum Leap.
Congrats to Alan Black, who we think has

As with the finest podcasts, this week we use our bully pulpit to make compelling cases for things that will never happen, like abolishing the $60 price point. But we also use it to sway the public, spouting off about games like
Singularity,
Puzzle Agent and the NPDs, which is not a game.
Thanks to the JPAG's Raymond Ocdol for helping us to embrace our crippling World Cup fever.

OK, OK smart guy, we get it. E3's been over for a week and you haven't heard so much as a peep from us. We all made some mistakes. But if you
think about it, aren't you, the listener, as much to blame, in a sense? ... No? Well, it was worth a shot.
If you still care what we think (or if you want to hear a lengthy explanation of our new review scoring system), you're in for a treat. Special thanks to Alan Black for his photoshop sequel, 11 years in the making.

Frankly, we're stunned we're even alive after the monumental effort it took to launch the brand new Joystiq for your enjoyment. But not only did we get it off the ground, we've also managed to make a podcast afterward. Inspiring is an awful big word to use, but if the shoe fits, we suppose.
Also, huge thanks to the amazing
Mike MIke for the new podcast branding (you'll see it when you download the show) and to Alan Black for this inaugural, disturbing photoshop.

We've got a packed show this week with some details on our PAX East plans, some very non-embargo breaking impressions of
Mass Effect 2, a Tip of the Week, and a brand new feature called "Spoiled Rotten," where we'll have a secret chat about a game exclusively for people that have solved that particular tape. First up?
Dark Void.

Is it possible to have a show just
too crammed with greatness? We've got impressions of
Mass Effect 2 and
MAG, a Tip of the Week, Stump JC, a Spoiled Rotten for
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, a mixed sports metaphor, an interview with

When a week's been this heavy on exciting news in the video game industry there's only one podcast you can turn to. Then you can turn to other ones. But then, after all that turning (assuming you haven't puked from the dizziness) you can turn to the Joystiq Podcast. We've got all your X10 and EA and Activision financial talk, plus some
MAG,
BioShock 2 and
Mass Effect 2 chat. Plus, naturally,
so much more.
Thanks to Kyle Collis for the upsetting and
frankly pretty obscure photoshopping. Oh, and this is probably our

OK, so we may not have a lot of new games to talk about, but we're two-thirds more educated on
Heavy Rain, so that makes for some good discussion. Plus, about halfway through the show, the audio quality on a Joystiq Podcast is good for like the first time ever. It's a magical moment.
By the way, the verdict is in on David Grier's photoshop, and it's been found "Totally Awesome" by a jury of its peers.

After a week so chock-full of news and notable happenings, you had to be looking forward to this Joystiq Podcast, right? Well we don't disappoint (or at least, not as much as usual) with discussion of Infinity Ward, the ApocalyPS3,
Portal 2 and a Spoiled Rotten on
Heavy Rain at the end.
You'll also be able to get in on the ground floor of our brand new feature "Professional Voice Actor Bob Ball Reads Your Email." Seriously, you're just going to love it. A super special thanks to Ste Birks for the legitimately breathtaking art. Oh, you want a bigger version as well as more of Ste's work? We suppose

Perhaps you've always wanted to get on board with the
Joystiq Podcast but didn't know where to start. Maybe you're a long-time fan, but forget funny things almost as soon as you hear them. Or maybe you just have three spare hours and want to fill them with
delight.
For all of you, there is Joystiq Podcast: Episode Zero.
The product of nearly a year of work and countless man hours, Episode Zero collects listener-selected best bits from the first 100 episodes of the Joystiq Podcast. Though a labor of love for the
whole of the JPAG, special thanks goes to
Ryan Gan for organizing the whole thing,
Erron Kelly for cutting the audio and
Dali Dimovski for sequencing the clips. Sincerely guys, thank you. (Special bonus: You'll find a list of all the bits after the jump!)
To the rest of you, sit back, get a mug of coffee, relax ... and
get ready for love.

We've returned with our post-Episode Zero, pre-PAX, post-operative episode. We've got emails, voice mails, a liberal application of GDC news and PlayStation Move talk plus a chance to win
Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition on Xbox 360. Also, there are at least two voyages to the Bone Zone.
Thanks to Nathan Foster for his Moving photoshop.

We met hundreds of our fans at PAX East and managed to escape without being skinned
Silence of the Lambs-style so, to celebrate, we recorded yet another Joystiq Podcast. We're talking
God of War 3, USB on 360,
Penny Arcade Adventures and so much more.
Thanks a ton to Alan Black for the photoshop that's tearing us apaht.

The Greatest Podcast on This Site That Isn't The Xbox 360 Fancast returns for another jam-packed week with
Final Fantasy XIII thoughts, a
BioShock 2 Spoiled Rotten and your emails and voicemails. Also, we totally crack the
Call of Duty 7 case. No, seriously!
Thanks to Bart Rogacewicz, who didn't wanna wait for our podcast to be over before he made that photoshop. Oh and sorry in advance if you notice some mild syncing issues. Blame science.

With the speed at which the world changes these days, it's nice when things stay the same, isn't it? Chris and Ludwig are still talking about
Final Fantasy XIII and Justin is still being needlessly hostile about it. We've still got emails, we've still got news. Justin awkwardly works in references to
MBMBAM. It's almost haunting in its predictability.
Less predictable? This most excellent photoshop, courtesy of Mr. Alan Black.
