'Great show; great guests' by Sulg Submitted on 2009-06-17 06:55:10 CST Kudos to Marty and Gary on this one. You guys both had plenty to say, and the chemistry between all four of you was very cool. I really like the topics you covered as well. I've also had a look at PvD, and it looks like...well, it looks like he could write a magazine column, if not a book or two. :P

'DDO = Disappointing Dungeons Online?' by SmakenDahed Submitted on 2009-06-19 13:42:37 CST Still listening, though I don't comment much.
I can't help but share my disappointment at DDO. It saddens me greatly to think of the vast game world that is Eberron and the awesomeness of D&D and what Turbine delivered to fans.
Sad.
I can't help feeling it was clinging to a big name (D&D) to generate money for another big name game (LOTRO). Tinfoil hat time? Maybe. It's just hard to believe the same company that delivered LOTRO also delivered DDO.
'Hi' by DestroyerDestroyer Submitted on 2009-06-19 16:24:54 CST I've been listening to these podcast for while now... good show. First time poster lol. I made a different post.. i don't know what happened. So i figured i did something wrong... sorry for a double different post.
DDO and free to play makes sense. DDO like others said, never warranted a $15 monthly fee. I'm pretty against Free to Play games generally... due to the added issues that come with them.
Like the onslaught of bot's, and getting people playing who shouldn't be allowed on the internet at all. But still I'm not totally against it either... cause with certain games it does make sense and is a good move.
You guys were going over xfire numbers and all that. It's of course not a end all say all. But it does gives a decent guess. Basing sub numbers for Maxtrix online (supposedly 5k). Then Tabula Rasa was 20k based off NcSoft's public earning report's. This is if and only if the trend's were to always follow the same with each game on the list.
It's pretty safe to say Tabula Rasa was sitting right below Pirates of the Burning Sea on Gary's list he made. I figure i throw that out there.
