In this 7th episode of Through the Aftermath, Shawn and Jonathan skip the usual format to catch up on some some emails from the listeners. We chose 20 to read this time, and they vary from book/movie suggestions to a particularly interesting email regarding a certain post-apoc game that was never madeâ starring Metallica?!?
We briefly touch on the news of Masthead Studios (makers of Earthrise) helping out on the new Project V13 Fallout MMO.
Throughout the show we mentioned certain links weâd provide, so here they are!
You may have noticed the progressive turn in this show towards making an official forum. We do plan on doing that very soon, so keep your eyes open for that on our website.
Our next episode is actually already recorded, waiting on some editing tidbits. Itâs an interview with Colin Dwan of Fallen Earth, so look for that in the coming week!
Keep in touch with us via the Facebook page, email or on Twitter.
Theme music is âThe Fourth Tribeâ by Michael Gordon Shapiro. Used with permission.

Here's a link to an article about that Metallica video game: http://ps2.ign.com/articles/422/422517p1.html
Whoa, and here is the trailer for it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dTMbiFi-oa4
I remembering hearing about it when it was originally announced, but that was all I heard. It was interesting to find out that the game was far into production before being canceled. I am a big fan of the Twisted Metal series, and this game sounded a lot like those.

You guys should totally do forums. Getting a bunch of people who are into post-apocalyptic material and media is like wildfire. I think a lot of listeners that really enjoy your show would post on the forums, whereas they might not necessarily add a comment to every episode here.
It's great to see you guys consistently doing this podcast and keeping it interesting. Can't wait for the Fallen Earth interview next show. Cheers. =)

We need forums! Judging by the great emails on this show we'd have some great conversations going on.
I got The Road too, haven't starting reading yet because I want to finish a series I am on first but I can't wait. :) A book club would be very great, I was going to email the show suggesting that and now kicking myself that I didn't!
I'm not sure if The Chronicles of Spellborn really falls into Post Apocalyptic per say, as the theme for most post apocalypse is the fall of mankind and how we would survive, it's more based on modern and what if scenario. Spellborn is a bit like that but it is also highly fantasy in fact it's a lot like Aion, if you read both lore of these games you can see a lot of similarities. I actually went from Spellborn fandom to Aion because of how alike they were in terms of story and originality. I think maybe what sets these apart from tradititional post apocalypse stuff (if it can even traditional...) is that the power of Gods is highly involved and the eventual cause of the downfall, via divine magic. While usually in Fallout and Mad Max and all that it's man that destroys himself and suffer the consequence.
In Spellborn and Aion it's people questioning their Gods and eventually rebelling.
Maybe it is the same thing, it would make a good forum topic though.... *cough*
See ya.

Hey guys here is the wiki description of the term "Hoon" that I used in my email.
Hoon is a derogatory term used in Australia and New Zealand to refer to a person who engages in loutish, anti-social behaviour. In particular, it is used to refer to one who drives in a manner which is anti-social by the standards of contemporary society, that is, fast, noisily or dangerously. Hoon activities can include speeding, street racing, burnouts, doughnuts or screeching tyres.[1] Those commonly identified as being involved in "hooning" or street racing are young, predominantly male although increasingly female drivers in the age range of 17 and 35 years.
Sounds a bit like the Nightrider maybe???
Keep up the good work.
