Fri, 8 Jan 2010 03:58:00 GMT [download/play]

In this first episode of 2010, Shawn and Jonathan discuss the two times in history when the world has come closest to nuclear war: The Cuban Missile Crisis and Able Archer. Topics include the hows and whys, as well as an explanation of how these close-calls helped to mold our current safeguards against something like this happening again.

Did you guys or anyone you know ever do anything with the F3 G.E.C.K. Garden of Eden Creation Kit game editor? I was wondering if anyone would like to let us know about their Creation's or any they know about, that would be cool :)

P.S. And this is awesome, another show already, you guys are totaly cool. if VW had adverising on it it would make millions, I would trust them if they were on this site.

P.S.S. Fallen Earth is a blast and the lore rocks, I love it, no taxes or a job with a time clock or politics, it's a dream come true.

Yeah this is some great stories about the situations like the Cuban missile crises.

When I saw the 13 Days movie a while ago and I thought it was awesome and you guys even added so much more, awesome, this truly makes your podcast a great Post Apocalypse show.

Lots of stuff I did not know and glad I finally do now.

About the star wars satellites, I wonder if the missiles went off or got blown up in the air if it really would make much of a difference, better then nothing and maybe if there was just a mistake and like 1 missile going off or something that looked like it then at least maybe it could be avoided to go all out destruction.

Sure I like hearing about game but not just games I mean this other stuff is totally interesting.

'TTAM radio station & the great topics' by OutVoid

ok So I found this for mods and stuff for Fallout 3 http://www.fallout3nexus.com

I was wondering if anyone made a mod or whatever it's called to actualy put the TTAM radio station into the Fallout 3 world?

I remember one of the older podcasts mentioned it or were thinking about it being possable.

P.S. I showed one of my brothers this podcast and he found it to be some interestion history about some great topics, I told him yeah I agree. We had some good conversation about Chernobal & The Cuban Missile Crisis and we did not even know about Able Archer so cool to learn all this. Thanks.
