This week on Limited Edition Matt & John welcome Stephen âRockjawâ Reid Creative Concepts Guru and all round nice guy into their bosom, fresh from leaving NCSoft. He loves comics too and we hope for him to be a regular on the show.
John talks about his love of Heroclix which the other guys havenât played despite both of them owning some, or even loads of them!
The guys discuss Digital Comics as a format and whether they could become more mainstream to the fans.
Also they have a chat about what they have been reading including Secret Invasion, Welcome to Hoxford and All Star (potty mouthed) Batman & Robin.
Need suggestions of good starting points for getting into reading comics? Good because they have some for you.
The Clone Wars CGI Movie and The Force Unleashed, should George Lucas be getting a bit Darker now instead of milking the cash cow?
And of course City of X, DC Universe Online and Champions.
Be sure to check out the shows blog over at www.yellowspandex.com, send your mails to podcast@yellowspandex.com and indeed leave a review on iTunes.

Did you have to use My Sharona? I can't get that song out of my head now.
Very interesting having Stephen Reid on the show, he completed the comic-book triumvirate rather well, striking a nice balance between Matt and John's levels of comic-book experience and preference.
Splendid stuff.

Glad you liked Stephen on the show because we can't seem to get rid of him.
Seriously though, he enjoyed it so much he's coming back for more episodes so watch this space!

Oh by the way My Sharona appeared in a comic issue of Cable and Deadpool, Deadpool sings it during awkward silence while the X-Men have a telepathic conference he can't join.

Thank you for getting me back into reading comics, I just got my newest ones KotOR series in the mail from TFAW, it is much more fun when you know other people who are into the same hobbies.
About digital comics, I sure do like the ones on the CoX website. But then it helps when you got a nice monitor, my old one was blurry but no more since I got my new wide screen. But yeah it would be nice to get something specially designed for reading PDF files like a small book sised electronic device. And light weight and all that stuff.
But then as long as I can still get the comics in the mail from places like TFAW.COM for less then $3 a piece then paper is perfect, and it would be nice to have a thing were you could trade them with friends, Maybe I should join a comic book club. I bet you could trade your comics to stretch out the money spent.
