No Prisoners, No Mercy Host: Julie Whitefeather & Frances Kosac There comes a time, friends, when your favorite MMO ceases to sparkle, when even new videogames lose their luster, and the computer room becomes a prison; and all that is left are two gamers (who happen to be nuns) with a very large axe to grind. Come join Julie Whitefeather and Frances Kosac as they go to War - and along the way discuss the events of the week in the MMO industry.
'Generic Post Title' by Julie Submitted on 2011-01-14 14:02:37 CST Here is our first Rift show. We have communicated with Scott Hartsman requesting an interview. He has indicated he will introduce us to his community manager which has not yet materialized - he claims he's busy with all the beta events for Rift - go figure. Mr. Hampton, author and avid gamer was a guest on show number 6. There is a short tribute to him after the ending music.

'Good show....thanks.' by Checksix Submitted on 2011-01-16 02:34:50 CST Thanks for this episode. I'm pretty excited to try Rift and I enjoyed all the info from Saylah.
'Thanks' by Julie Submitted on 2011-01-16 12:22:14 CST Its always good to know people are out their listening. Saylah is always a fun guest. It turns out, however, as pointed out by Randomessa and confirmed by R.W. Harper that there are indeed those namby, pamby beings called elves in the game. However, as R.W. pointed out, "Thank God there are dwarves to balance them out"
'Ehem' by Akely Submitted on 2011-01-18 23:08:40 CST First:
Sorry to hear about your friend passing. And at such a young age too. Great to hear you remembering good stories about him, that what keep people "alive" after they're gone.
Second:
i'd like to hear Julie talk more about Eve Online. No, not scream and rant. Although the screaming and ranting is hilarious to listen too I want a tad less emotional description of what ha been going on, the reasons for the continous war-daecking and what-not. Eve is such a strange game, cabable of such boredom and such exitement that it boggles my (little) mind. Can you do it, Sister? I dare you. :D
Third:
I REALLY REALLY REALLY liked the short, clear and concise Rift pre-view. Kudos to Saylah for that, and to the Sisters for asking the 'right' kind of questins to clarify stuff. Top notch, ladies!
'Had a blast as always' by Saylah Submitted on 2011-01-19 03:49:27 CST I had ball. Listening to Sister Julie rant about EVE was hysterical at times. Oops on the Elves. Wonder why I never saw any. *shrug*. I liked 'em anyways. Thanks for having me on.
'Generic Post Title' by Julie Submitted on 2011-01-19 14:30:37 CST In fact I have been interested in Rift myself, after all the steampunk faction is right up my ally. We are hoping to be able to do some "in game" coverage at some point.
@ Akley - Challenge accepted (even if calm isn't as funny). I will try and dig up some records of the events of the past 9-10 months.

'Disappointed' by alchemda Submitted on 2011-01-19 15:25:15 CST I was really disappointed in the complete misinformation given in your Rift podcast. I commend the presenter of the information for trying however there were too many mistakes to have me sit by and lay idle.
There are dwarfs
There are high elves
There are Kelari, which are like elves
There are Bahmi which are air elementals in humanoid form
There are malthosians which are basic humans
There are Eth, which are desert people sort of that are supremely technically advacned
'Sad, sad' by Julie Submitted on 2011-01-19 15:35:56 CST IN this particular case we can't say "mia culpa" as we haven't had the pleasure of playing the game. I seems we have to do an update on the Rift podcast as far as races are concerned. It seems, however, that Saylahs information hte game game mechanics was correct.
We welcome anyone who would like to do a segement of an upcoming show to make sure the race information is set straight.

'Footer on the races' by Saylah Submitted on 2011-01-20 01:39:57 CST Sorry about the misinformation on races. I only meant to cover the mechanics. I must be o used tone over exaggerated racial features in WOW that honestly, when I looked through the races during character creation, they looked like humans tome that varied in slightly in a regional sort of way. But that's also not something that I dug into when playing the beta.
'As long as it isn't elves' by Julie Submitted on 2011-01-20 12:39:05 CST It was a pleasure to have Saylah on the show (and thanks for the helping out). As for me as long as there is something to play except elves...ANYTHING but elves...I am happy.
