The frustrating issue of the day for me is that no matter how many times I try and recover my password, no matter how many times CCP says that instructions have been sent to my email, nothing ever happens. Has CCP developed the 800 pound gorilla attitude? Why is it that Turbine and Cryptic can manage to resolve a lost password instantly but CCP can seem to manage to do it at all?

I find it odd that you gals seem against the notion that ratings on games should be enforced (and people held accountable) when you have the notion that one case of RealID induced related stalking/violence is to much.
Over here the ratings are enforced. The publishers are not held accountable. Instead it is the seller making the transaction that is held responsible. The publishers part in this ends when the rating is set on the product. Selling to underaged can lead to fines. This is also true in cinemas. And regarding cigaretts, beer etc. Carding happens often.
And yes, lots of parents buy their kids games rated above their age. I do not know what the law says about that.
Password Tip:
Make up a three-part password. The two parts should be something you NEVER change, never write down and no-one can figure out. For example "Hello GoodBye". Then write down the third part with the service (and perhaps account name) next to it: "EVE Online 1344 - LOTRO meOw". The complete passwords would be "Hello1344GoodBye" for EVE and "HellomeOwGoodBye" for LOTRO. I've used this system for many years and it works great. And should someone find my note they have but a little part of the password. See you in EVE(?) :)

@Akeky: As far as enforcement of ratings are concerned its a bit of a quandry isn't it? When we talk about enforcement here we are speaking of ratings due to in game violence. After all just about every game levels by killing something. If you strictly enforce ratings (as the governor of California would have it) which is a noble aspirating indeed the publishers will be fearful to make anything short of my pretty pony in the first place (or so they have been claiming in the news).
Thanks for the tip on passwords. Nearly 24 hours later and not so much as a "hey how are ya" out of CCP. It appears that the only option here is to simply call our bank and block the withdrawals.
Sad to say but it appears that CCP has developed the "800 pound gorilla" attitude. The question is, do they have so many customers that they can afford to piss on the ones that are loyal? The truism that applies is here in marketing is that if you loose a customer you haven't JUST lost a customer - you have gained a detractor.
So it appears that CCP could give a gnats tiny hiny about my business sad to say.

I have, however, already filed a petition. In fact while they sent an automated reply this is going on the second day with no action on the issue. The longer it takes the less interested I am in any of their products nor covering Eve on our show any longer.

Situation resolved, thanks for the tip and the offer of help. My guess why it took a day and a half is that they must have had their hands full with the 27 pages of "are you serious?" when they asked Eve Online players to vote for CCP/Eve online for the European Game awards.
