In which our heroes have played far too many games since last time, chip in on the download caps discussion and then one of us finally snaps and goes all Emo. Listen to find out which one!
'Yeah... well..' by Akely Submitted on 2008-06-23 03:59:22 CST I can see how you become a bit burned out by playing 6 MMO's in a fortnight. Now stop your sniveling and get on with it. We need you to take one (more) for the team!
The addition of PvP in EVE actually makes tha game less interesting for me. Is it a consensual thing, or how does it work?
'Good show!' by Hounde Submitted on 2008-06-23 13:32:49 CST Another great show gents. Well done!
This episode really rang a bell with me in regards to playing multiple MMOs and the burnout that often ensues. I have been a game hopper for the past few years and after all this time, I feel that I am really missing out on what the 'one game only" stalwarts get to experience by devoting themselves to a single title. I am very envious of them and I also wish that I could sink myself fully into exploring what a particular game has to offer. I am back in EQ2 and have joined a very small but friendly guild, so I am going to attempt to make this my main game, partly for sentimental reasons, EQ2 being my very first MMO. I hope I will have the tenacity to stick with it.
I got quite a chuckle when one of you mentioned playing another MMO as a 'vacation" from your current one. I also rationalize my own MMO jumping that way, glad to know I'm not the only one doing this ! I sometimes despair of ever being able to shake this behavior seeing that I am always on the lookout for the "next big thing" while I am playing a title. I notice these days that while subscribing to a game , I too have the lingering idea that "I won't be here for long".
So hurrah for a very thought provoking episode !
