Italian Albanians, Darkon and DARKFALL REVIEW-ish.

WARNING: EXPLICIT CONTENT. WE SAY THE S WORD AND THE GD WORD.

SO, so...SO, we like, went to one of our favorite Italian restaurants to catch some lunch, and lo and behold the crowd was small so it was the perfect time to record! We were halfway through a very poop-filled weekend, thanks to a tornado, a backed up sewer line and tree branches in the yard.

Needless to say, it was hot, sticky and not a very good time to record. Yet, we did 'cuz we are hardcore.

We are talking about Darkfall, and I go a bit more into some of my reasons for liking it and disliking it. I will still give it much more time, but at this point I am not sure I will re-sub after this month. Great game, needs some work, and we talk about it.
Then we review Darkon, a documentary about LARPers. You can watch it for free on Hulu right now, and if you are worried about "spoilers," skip our review until after you watch it.
The music from the show is from Jimmy Eat World (not bad for older emo dudes,) Neil Young, some dude named Bach and a band called Pink Floyd. You'll recognize the songs, I hope.

Let us know if you prefer the music coming from better known artists or if I should go back to indie chicks. I like indie chicks, but after a while they all start to sound too breathy. Sad, but breathy.

Great show guys. It's really a shame when our friends can't accept their life as we do. Far too many of my friends love online games, but cant take it seriously as a social activity. They always end up being flakey and unfulfilled in every game. I want to tell them that the real fun comes from immersing yourself and learning how to play as well as you can, but that is an alien way to live your life to a casual.

For some people it's hard to forget they are playing a video game, but easy for them to pretend that they are in an audience for a football game.

Could you please include the length of each podcast, I think I must have had some errors in the DLs, the last 2 episodes were very short.... I'm talking less than 12 minutes. Unless that was the actual length... hence my dilema.

Re-downloaded, and all is right with the world again. It seems the 1st version I had showed as only 3.7MB, the new one is fine :).

Also, when I read you had a Pink Floyd tune in the podcast, I was expecting a more "run of the mill" selection (ala "Young Lust" sorta fit your teen-angst theme), but congrats on the ".

Anyway, I love the podcast (been listening since episode #65 iirc). your relaxed conversational format, sometimes the background can be a little too loud, but maybe solved by having the mic slightly closer to Leala (not that I don't like hearing you Beau :) ).
