This
week's song (Beau's pick again...Luper had a good metal song picked out
so Beau gets it for the show. Then his wife says "You realize you'll
have to bleep half the song?" So Beau scrambled and got one of his
favorites ) is "Halloween on the Barbury
Coast!" by The Flaming Lips.
(Before they became weak. They used to be the LOUDEST band on the
Earth. I would sneak into clubs and listen to them and watch them burn
their drums. My lead singer Manson is in their documentary that came
out a year ago.) Login to post a comment

'Appreciate the mention' by Pyros Submitted on 2008-06-07 10:06:33 CST Thanks for the 'thanks' in the show.
Now to weigh in on the raging debate regarding Luper's 'hostility' towards the developers...
How many times do we hear interviews that are fluff where the interviewers throw out the usual tame questions and await the patent responses?
FINALLY, a voice in the community that asks the pertinent questions and counters with passionate rebuttals. It was a breath of fresh air to me.
Sometimes I agree with the opinions, sometimes not but I am ALWAYS appreciative of them.
So congrats Luper on having an opinion and showing the fortitude to not back down.
Stay strong!

'Sounds good to me' by AlikSteel Submitted on 2008-06-08 07:53:33 CST I am off on mondays and tusdays so for the most part any time on them days. I work banker hours the rest of the work week 9am to 5pm and we are in the same time zone. (Mobile,AL) On the day I work I try to log in for a hour before work then two hours after work. Saturday and sunday I work 4am to 2pm so any time after 3pm should work.
You may have to come find me because I am allways lost (damn IP). Finding my way around with out a map is a lot harded than I would have thought. Still it is a lot of fun. reminds me of the old EQ days.

'Luper' by telstar Submitted on 2008-06-18 23:17:27 CST I just re-subscribed to Vanguard after being away since beta. I played the game for a short while after beta but got sucked back into other MMO's while Vanguard worked on some issues.
I was really interested in your interview with the Lead Designer Silius (podcast #43). However, I was kind of turned off by Luper's confrontational questions. I am sure that it wasn't taken that way by Silius and they probably know each other. Nevertheless, it was uncomfortable as a listener.
This being said, I really enjoy listening to Luper cuz she tells it like it is, is incredibly knowledgable about the game and asks the tough questions. I just wanted to make sure that from a listeners perspective, the comments about working for Vanguard for free and just the general way that Silius was treated during the podcast was kind of rough from a listners perspective.
I am sure I will get slammed for my comment but before you nail me...
I want you to know - I really think Luper is great for the podcast and an excellent proponent for change in Vanguard. It just made me uncomfortable.
Hopefully you will understand and take it as constructive feedback. I will continue listening and enjoy the show very much
