Voyages of Vanguard #24Wed, 24 Oct 2007 15:48:00 GMT [download/play]
Karen and Troy return for another fantastic show devoted to the fans
and players of Vanguard:Saga of Heroes. In this week's show the duo
sends out several shout outs and compliments the listeners on their
musical tastes. Troy talks about the VoV Friend's Network and welcomes
Belepheriel to the company of allies in the adventures of Telon. Karen
and Troy then get down to business with the news, talking soberly about
Vanguard leaving Carlsbad and heading down to San Diego. They also
talk about Phase One, of Game Update Three and some of the major issues
and additions to content that the patch introduced. The two then talk
about
The Five Things Every Vanguard Player Should Know and also The Top Five Scariest Places in Vanguard.
Troy begins to tie up the show, then surprises Karen with his Rant of
The Week. Alas, in the end the two end the show talking about their
blogs and some Listener Emails.
Points of Interest * Shout Outs * VoV Friends Network * Vanguard News * The Top Five Things Every Vanbuard Player Should Know * The Top Five Scariest Places In Vanguard
* Troy's Rant * Listener's Email * Troy's & Karen's Blogs
'Great show as always' by Lumio Submitted on 2007-10-24 15:11:38 CST Great show guys!
There really are some spooky posts that get you on edge. If you have the sound up it makes it worse, or better hehe.
Troy I feel ya on the "Hun" thing, I cant stand it, I hate it when the treat others like kids or something...ugh!
I gotta get my rift stones out of the way tonight, good idea
'Torches' by varka Submitted on 2007-10-25 00:14:14 CST Torches still go out on chunk-lines, just not as often.
And thanks for Shift+K, didn't know that one :)
'Riftways' by varka Submitted on 2007-10-25 00:24:23 CST The riftways tip is very good too. I actually do this from time to time as a guild event. As a bard, I taxi a group of guild mates around the riftways to unlock them all.
Great idea for any guild as a maybe a weekly or monthly event for new players.
'Bindstone' by varka Submitted on 2007-10-25 00:33:36 CST Hehe :) here I go dropping comments as I listen to more of the show.
My opinion on the best bind spot would have to be the Deebs. The bindstone is literally across the road from the T1 riftway, which gives you instant access to New Targonor, Ahgram and Tawar Galan.
Our guild HQ is at the Tree of Sorrows, reseanably close to the T2 riftway at Vol Tuniel.
Then I have my house at the Infineum Plateaus across the river from Razad and the T3 riftway network.
All works well I think... although I know there are other options.
'Scariest Places in Vanguard' by James Submitted on 2007-10-25 09:26:39 CST Troy's rant made me laugh. Whenever someone calls me "hun" I picture the archetypal beehive hairdo'ed, gravelly voiced, octagenarian cat lady check-out clerk at the grocery store who probably has chainsmoked since 1950. I enjoyed the "Scariest Places" segment. Perhaps you can make this a seasonal top five and do "Top 5 Most Festive Spots in Vanguard" as the Christmas/holiday season draws closer?
'Map' by Medz Submitted on 2007-10-25 13:01:49 CST Thanks for the map tip. Going to download it now
'How do I...' by Lumio Submitted on 2007-10-25 15:14:39 CST in the podcast you said we could "review" VoV on itunes. How?

'Necro Quests!' by Fellmage Submitted on 2007-10-26 11:32:43 CST Troy,
Here are some links to some necro quests that you mentioned.
This can be done solo by you right now, all you need is invis.

This is a link to the Wraithform and Form of Bones questline. You need to be level 30 for this quest and should definitely be able to solo it.

any know how to review this podcast on itunes?
'Writing a review on Itunes' by Shalimar616 Submitted on 2007-10-26 16:24:46 CST I open up the itunes program, click on the show you want to write a review on. An arrow appears in the title description which sends you to the Itunes pages for that show.
From there, you should see a "Write a Review" clicky.
You need an Apple ID and password, which I assume can easily be created.
From there you simply write and submit your review.
I must admit I haven't done it myself (slaps myself silly).
I have also been told by another that you can write a review, thusly: In itunes it may be necessary to place your mouse pointer just below the text "PODCAST DESCRIPTION" until it turns into a hand symbol and left click to pull the bar down just below the hand, it will then reveal the area for reading and writing reviews
I hope this helps!
