Voyages of Vanguard #22Thu, 11 Oct 2007 18:37:00 GMT [download/play]
This week Karen and Troy welcome Jonathan Shariat, otherwise known as
Lumio, to the Voyages of Vanguard. The two invite Jon right into the
conversation and the three talk about the news, a few shoutouts, and
Voyages of Vanguard Friends Network. Troy and Karen then takes Jon to
task with a involved interview of his projects, his voyage to Vanguard,
and some personal moments of first time gaming. The three then finish
the Classes of Vanguard, a four part series, on the arcane spell
casters of the game. In the end, the three talk about their blogs and
special projects.

'Brotherhoods at 50' by varka Submitted on 2007-10-23 00:08:24 CST Hey guys,
Just got back to work from my holidays and I'm catching up with the shows. In relation to brotherhoods and lvl50 characters there are a couple of things to keep in mind.
1) The low level player is cutting their own experience as well as receiving experience from the other party.
2) If you and your lvl 50 buddy are grouped and killing the same mob, you actually get less xp because the 50 gets less xp then you would for killing the same mob.
3) If your buddy has died/dies a lot then he'll be recovering xp, not earning xp, and it won't go into the brotherhood.
So it mainly benefits a 45+ character who is not actively adventuring. For example, you could go and grind diplomacy whilst your lvl 50 buddy earns you adventuring experience.
