Voyages of Vanguard #19Tue, 18 Sep 2007 06:10:00 GMT [download/play]
From the ancient stone vaulted arches and bridges of Thelaseen where even the cloying mist that shrouds the primordial columns of grey, basalt mark their age in millennia. To the stormy plateau of the Gardens of Xia Liu where thunder rolls across the heavens
like waves crash along the jagged rock strewn cliffs of Martok Ending in the isle of Garuzamut where something is awakening, a life force that is so evil
that
the skies darken at high noon, where the rivers flow with ichor dredged
up from some deep well within the forgotten Peninsula, and the adventurers blood turn ice cold in their veins!
This
week Troy has the great honor to sit down with Jaye Wizziefingers and
talk seriously about Vanguard. He follows the lengthy discussion with
his Shout Outs to friends, the Voyages of Vanguard Friend's Network;
and Rumors, Tips, and Bugs on Vanguard. Troy then has an email he
talks about and continues with his 2nd of 4 part special on the
Offensive Fighters of the Game. He wraps the show up with his
Brotherhood experience and briefly talks on his new blog, the Emerald
Tablet.

'Helpful Websites' by Fellmage Submitted on 2007-09-18 14:32:39 CST Troy,
You had asked for some helpful websites, here are a few that I use and didn't hear you mention.
http://vg.curse.com/ - Great Item / NPC as well as a great interactive atlas
http://foreststalker.com/ - Ranger Themed Site
http://www.vgnecro.com/ - Necro Themed Site
If you haven't visited the Curse Gaming site yet, you will soon find yourself referring to several times a night, just the same as you remember using the Allahkazam Site. I hope you find this info useful.
By the way, I appreciate the entertaining and informative podcasts. I truly believe that this and other positive Vanguard outlets will be key in rebuilding the world of Telon, since SOE is currently doing nothing to promote it. I hope to see you in game soon!
'"Wow!" I mean, "Vanguard!"' by James Submitted on 2007-09-19 13:31:22 CST Man, Troy. I know you get this a lot, but after listening to your show for about a month I think I'm gonna definitely give Vanguard a second chance when I pick up my new gaming rig after the holidays. I think this week's show was hands-down my favorite episode. The way you and Jaye so passionately talk about your likes and dislikes of Vanguard make me want to jump right in and explore the seamless world I hear you describe week after week. Looking forward to your "Voyage with Jaye Part Two!"
'New Blog on the Emerald Tablet' by Shalimar616 Submitted on 2007-09-19 18:34:46 CST Greetings Listeners
I have just update my new blog, the Emerald Tablet, with a new entry called the Revelation with the Greater Forces. Its an article that describes our ability to contact celestial entities, and draws a juxtapostion to our avatars in our generated universal spaces.
I am interested, as always with the thoughts and ideas of my listeners and now readers of my new blog.
Thanks
Troy

'Great show Good chemistry' by Ceadrick Submitted on 2007-09-21 00:47:06 CST Hi troy,
just thought I would post a comment because I thought the latest show was your best. I think you should try to talk Jaye into being your regular or every other show co-host. You guys have good chemisrty together and it was a nice change of pace. You both feed off one anothers passion for the game and it made me smile. I bought Vanguard when it first came out and played it for about three weeks. I thought it was interesting but just not worth the time because of the way it ran on my machine. I play EQ2 now and I just bought the station pass so I'll be giving VG another look. Hope to see you in game.
Ceadrick
PS I always play with the name Ceadrick. He's alive some where in game I just know it heheh.
' A credit to the game' by scytale2 Submitted on 2007-09-21 04:56:12 CST It's something of a credit to the game that with frequent CTD's you are still sticking with it. I really wonder what would happen if Vanguard actually fix all their problems someday, as their game is up there with the best on the market.
Thanks again for doing the podcasts, to some extent bucking the trend, since Vanguard is not very popular, as yet. I liked your new presenter, but don't lose Razodyne!
'Gave This Week's Show a Re-Listen' by James Submitted on 2007-09-22 23:18:26 CST I enjoyed this week's show so much, I listened to it again, which is very rare for me to do with whole podcasts. As I said in an earlier post, the Troy/Jaye dynamic is just great! Any chance of Jaye having a somewhat regular spot on the show or even coming in as some sort of cohost? I really like the back-and-forth discussion that occurs on SUWT and EQual Perspectives because of the multiple hosts and think that might be a great addition to VOV!
