This week the MMOG Nation Broadcast tackles a subject near and dear to
my heart: Shadowrun. While there are no public plans at the moment to
develop an MMO based on the Shadowrun IP, I think it's something that
would enrich the spirit of gamers everywhere. The IP, the setting, even
the rules all seem custom-fit to what I see as a modern imperative:
online massive gaming. Join myself and Mr. Brent Lassi as we talk about
what we'd want to see in an SR MMO. We talk design, content, and the
likelihood of this game ever reaching market. Check you later, omae.

'Shadowrun player from 1990' by mmotreasurehunt Submitted on 2008-07-07 23:29:55 CST Haven't played any table top RPGs in a number of years. Mainly just playing MMOs. Listening to this podcast made me wish for my bio-linked Panther Assault Cannon to put in the hands of my Troll and roll for natural sixes. You guys got me all excited about a Shadowrun MMO.
On a side note: The NES game back in the day was a better game world than the FPS that came out recently.
Thanks for getting me worked up!
'Hehehehehehehe...Johnson.' by VanHemlock Submitted on 2008-07-08 13:42:59 CST Interesting ruminations. Never played Shadowrun, so found myself shouting 'Neocron!' frequently at the stereo. I guess that place isn't as original as I gave it credit for. Worth a look if you haven't so far - sounds like it has a great many of the things you're after in such a title, except the $500 million budget.
Now, Planescape on the other hand...
