EQual Perspectives #9Mon, 4 Feb 2008 05:41:00 GMT [download/play]
Troy and Karen return for episode number 9 of EQual Perspectives.
After a mysterious introduction, the duo talk about their sponsor: www.mmotreasurehunt.com.
Troy then thanks Beau Turkey for his great segments that he keeps
sending in. The hosts then tackle a slew of email, with a special one
from Grimwell! Troy and Karen often think of being mad MMO scientists,
and what MMOstien would they create? Troy is happy to announce that
there is a good base of listener to the show, and he looks forward to
increasing the listeners of the show.
Karen and Troy then tackle two big subjects for the show: Contents
& Group and Everquest 2 Epics. The two each have their own
opinions on what can be done to increase grouping and what would be the
best line of epic gear for the game.
Finally, Beau Turkey talks about his problem -- too many alts!
Listen and enjoy.

'Duobox tip' by Blacktop Submitted on 2008-02-04 10:29:15 CST Hey Troy,
Great episode again, i use a neat program called multiplicity for my duo boxing game play. Basically you use 1 keyboard and mouse and it use the lan to switch from one PC to the other by hot key or (this is the neat function) moving you moving you mouse curser outside your left side (or right side, depend on your settings) of your screen and it will transfer your keyboard controls to your other machine. It also has a dropping box that tells if your controlling the other machine, so you don’t lose sight of your curser
I use my laptop and took a little time to get use to but duobox i don’t use a extra mouse or keyboard
'Does Multiplicity work with Vista?' by Shalimar616 Submitted on 2008-02-05 07:34:45 CST I had a program way back when playing EQ1 that allowed me to alt-tab between two versions of Everquest, but now I have 1 vista and 1 xp box (the xp box is old, but can still play everquest 2 on very low settings).
It would be nice if this program worked with Vista -- but knowing Microsoft it probably doesnt.

'dont know, try the trail :)' by Blacktop Submitted on 2008-02-05 09:46:14 CST I got 2 XP machined so I’m not sure
They support XP and Vista. But multi platform I don’t know,
But there is a 15 day trail so may worth a try.
Oh, and if it works. Plz let me know :)
'Another Good Show-Grouping ' by Alali Submitted on 2008-02-05 12:18:34 CST One thing that came to mind for me during your grouping segment was possibly setting up a third tree much like AA, but that would have possible raid specific skill adds. This is the "end game" for many people, so if it was done right many people might be interested in grouping with others to obtain these bonuses.
The ability to obtain a new title might be motivating...
Lastly maybe a time based reward as well, much like one can see the exact amount of time they have been in game, "16 days, 13 hours, 12 minutes..." maybe the same type of stats for in group time, with a /claim group command which would bring up grouping rewards which would be motivating??
Just some ideas, thanks again for taking the time to do the podcast.
