Episode 5 Discussion Thread

'Interesting discussion and commentary about classes' by CelApok
Submitted on 2007-12-14 11:35:04 CST
This is the first episode I've listened to so far from you guys. The discussion between Joe and Troy about possible class combos for helping a new player is rather entertaining.

The thing about most of the classes in EQ2 is that they really don't start coming into their own until the much higher levels. Joe (I believe) was talking about his time spent on the Warden. I've played my Warden alt up to 45 at this point and I really like it. I've had to put his progress on the back burner however while I get my raiding characters up to 80 with the release of RoK. Anyways, the Warden, I feel, is more of a melee capable healer where as the Fury is more of a spell casting healer. I know a Warden who can parse over 1k dps on raids while still staying on top of the heal parse too. Wardens are quite the class though with a wide variety of playstyles. Just thought I'd share.

It seems Joe was basing a few class opinions based on their low level spells which is a mistake. Definitely take a look at the lvl 50+ spells. That's when the classes start to individualize themselves towards their true playstyle.

Good show guys and stick with it Joe!
