Congratz Jonathan! One more show after this, and your podcast can finally legally come out to a bar and meet me for a drink. And let me add, The Online Gamer's Anthology is definitely someone I would hang out with.

Cheers!

Keep up the great work

'Gamma World ===> Fallout' by telstar
Submitted on 2008-12-30 04:26:59 CST
I used to play TSR's Gamma World back in the early 80's. The Fallout games really brought me back to the way I felt playing GW. The two games had some things in common. Any idea if the creators of Fallout ever played Gamma World or were influenced by it?

Thanks for sharing some of the history of Fallout. You guys are awesome to listen to - such a great show!

Great as always Jonathan.

I really can't wait for an Elder Scrolls show, though I think that it should be 2 shows; because of the ton of content there.

Just don't make us wait too long dammit lol.

Well mabe a little now, but I think I will stick with what I got. would love to see the MMO fallout, but till then....
What I wanted to say is I love your short's. They are so dang funny. Maybe you and Shawn and git together and do a podbook together. I loved Shawn podbook, and would love to see what you two could come up with together.

Any way, even if I have never played any game that you like to talk about I still enjoy your show because you never know what you are going to hear.

Great job on the show.
thanks for the hard work I know it must take to add the short's into it.

Sadly I've never play any of the titles (yet) but I truly enjoyed hearing about the lore and background of the games. Hearing about your fond memories of games that barely had graphics (compared to today's standards) is a topic that I frequently discuss at length. I may have to go dig out the older games that Jonathan suggested.

Great show liked every minute of it.

Seriously, play them. Probably one of the best RPG series that I have ever played. The story is awesome and the graphics for the time, was the best.

I strongly suggest to get them and play them. Everyone I have let loose on the game fell in love with them.

Fantastic show!

I love everything apocalyptic and was great to hear the lore. I'm going to go back to fallout 1 & 2 on my mac.

Shawn and Jonathan the dream team!

I'm late to the party, but thank you for this episode. Fallout was never on my radar until I heard this show. Always liked the post apocalyptic type of setting but I wouldn't give this a chance as I hate basic shooters, good old Halo comes to mind.

But since this is more in Bethesda style then I'm all for it. I am downloading right now from D2D and pumped!!

I don't know when your new show comes out so I'll just post it here; it's been 11 days since my Fallout 3 purchase and it's totally sucked my spare time away!! Curse you!! *shakes fist*

I really love this game. :D

Johnathan! Where are you?

Yeah I know, Through The Aftermath. Cool show, but I really wish you'd continue The Online Gamers Anthology as well. This is my favorite gaming podcast and I hate to see it fade away.

Right you are, my friend! Though the TOGA world had a slight vacation, I still have much to talk about very soon. Anarchy Online, the Ultima series, UO, and Neocron are just a few of the episodes next on the drawing board for the near-future. And we still have to talk about the Apple computer revolution and the world of the Sierra Games. And Might and Magic, and the Arcade world...
And we still have one more episode (out next) about Wasteland.

You see, I haven't gotten all of my childhood out just yet. ;)

Thanks for being so patient. Even I'm taken back sometimes with how fast time flies!

Lately I have been re-listening to some of my favorite episodes (Asheron's Call, DAoC). I realized this is still one of my favorite podcasts on the net. I really wish to see new eps.

You left us hanging with the Fallout episode, only to move on to another 'cast, Through the Aftermath.

Here's a suggestion, Johnatan:

Let's just call 'Through the Aftermath' in its entirety 'The 2nd Fallout ep'. You have covered it. It's done. It's in fact still going. Kudos.

But let's MOVE ON ;-)

I would love to see you cover more games in the future. In fact, if you want to cover text muds, I'd love to contribute to the show. I have some fond memories of MUD1 and several others (including a Middle Earth one).

Hey, I'm rambling. Anyway: please get this cast going again. It's too good to let fade.

I know you've been busy with "Through the Aftermath", also a great podcast, but this is by far my favorite and Im still waiting for the UO episode! I've been playing since T2A and would love to relive some of those old memories!
