'Good show.' by kain Submitted on 2006-10-12 09:09:20 CST The math and science worked. Ryan was not the only one jumping for the rifle with the DnL comment.
As for WoW the raiding is bad. Don't do it. I did and quit after almost 3 full tier sets before I woke up and stopped playing all together.
'Another awsome show.' by Azzurri Submitted on 2006-10-12 12:41:08 CST I use to play WoW, and was a pretty hardcore raider, untill I pretty mucg got borded and burned out. Level 1-60 were great fun, becaseu it was at your pace. Then once you hit 60 it become a Rep, and faction grind, along with a gear grind. And you only grind rep and PvP faction for the EPIC gear. They hid the grind very well friom 1-60, but now it's like you have to play like a robot if you want to compete with other in PvP or anything else. It almost forces you to raid, if you want to be equal in terms of gear and stuff. It's almost like clock work you log on raid for 4 hours and then might pvp a little if it isn't to lat, which it most likley is anyways, and then you repeat that for 4 or 5 other days.
It just lost it's luster, it's the same old thing over and over. This is why i loved SWG PRE-CU, you didn't have to raid, or grind. You were free to do what you want with out being on for hours on hours to accomplish anything. I just wish mroe games would take this in to consideration. This is why so many MMO's are just plain boring, and can't hold my atention now a days.
'SWG' by kain Submitted on 2006-10-12 14:35:41 CST Hmm will SWG be split into two MMos? I think preCu deserves a spot in the top 5.
'WoW' by zoal Submitted on 2006-10-12 18:52:23 CST Think the rating on WoW was a little harsh (I would have to put it into the top 5...maybe as high as 3rd)
Ppl look at the subscription base and tend to be super critical (tall poppy syndrome). If the player base was only 100 000 you guys would falling over yourselves praising it :)
I do agree however with the ridiculous bit torrent patch system they have going...what on earth are they thinking!
'Awesome Show, Brent.' by vcn3wb05 Submitted on 2006-10-12 22:27:51 CST Just wanted to send some love about the show -- it was very entertaining. I was sitting in my quiet work environment and laughed out loud many-a-time. I do sort of disagree on WOW's placement, but it's not that big of a deal. Also, I loved the sarcastic comments at the end after the bottom 5 were discussed... frickin hilarious. Anyway, great show and keep the coming!
'WoW at 7' by Brent Submitted on 2006-10-12 23:23:54 CST After Brenden and I completed our 'scientific' examination, World of Warcraft's placement was the only eyebrow raiser in the bunch, so I hear what you're saying on that, but, hey, we aren't willing to dispute the science...
'Music' by Shawn Submitted on 2006-10-16 10:39:16 CST I love the way you keep the show's theme almost hidden within the music throughout the episode. The Final Countdown, Take 5...very clever :) I've noticed you've been doing this alot lately. And great show as always!
