'Nice one' by Token Submitted on 2008-08-16 11:12:44 CST This was a very interesting show, the most successful field show I've heard on VW. Loved the enthusiasm, very excited about the agency. Somewhat appalled by the similarity of the zones in free realms to WoW. I looked up some screen shots while you guys were talking and it looks like they've duplicated Zangarmarsh down to the troll fences, mushrooms and Cenarion towers, I expect a lawsuit tbh
'The Agency' by PeZzy Submitted on 2008-08-16 15:36:15 CST It would be interesting to find out if there are discrepancies between the PC version and PS3 version which would give a decided edge in PvP.
'yay' by Brent Submitted on 2008-08-16 17:07:03 CST @Token - Thanks for the thumbs up sir!
@PeZzy - It all comes down to a controller vs keyboard and mouse issue. Keyboard and mouse is fast and precise, controllers are not. That is the crux of the issue.
'What?!' by darrenl Submitted on 2008-08-16 19:07:16 CST Felicia Day?!
Lies!!! Hax!!!!
'well, it only got better form there...' by Brent Submitted on 2008-08-17 04:32:34 CST @darren.
felicia day ... was not a hack ... dude, she's being interviewed by a dwarf... how much more Fan Faire can it get?
:)
'Mouse and Keyboard vs Controller' by Jon Submitted on 2008-08-18 06:05:04 CST There's no reason that I know of that the Agency couldn't support keyboard and mouse on the PS3 as well as the controller. UT3 does as well I believe.
Shadowrun has also already had FPS play between console and PC, but I don't know how the advantage of keyboard/mouse shook out in the end as the hype had collapsed by that stage and everybody just stopped talking about it.

'Great Show' by techraan Submitted on 2008-08-18 10:58:48 CST Congrats to my nephew Jon. Thanks to Brent. Great stuff!
'I'm totally embarassed' by Grimwell Submitted on 2008-08-18 18:58:02 CST I even sounded tired when you found me on the floor. I was sooooo the walking dead. :(
Good show, and yes that was Felicia Day.
'DCU' by Xeevo Submitted on 2008-08-20 14:06:06 CST Sounds great - I hope when you learn to fly it's something special. I was so disappointed when I unlocked flying in COH and found "flying" was really an overstatement...
I could hover upwards very slowly. Top of building? Just give me five minutes...nearly there...come on!

'COH Flying' by Klojamir Submitted on 2008-08-20 14:25:59 CST Are you sure you were flying? Or were you hovering? At level 14 you actually start flying which is a huge difference from hovering. You are able to hover first in any direction, then later on (lvl 14) you are able to add another skill to hovering which is flying. You can fly up to the top of any building in no time flat. Just a thought.
Your right though it does sound like fun.
'Flying Continued' by Xeevo Submitted on 2008-08-20 15:28:52 CST Sorry for double post - dunno what happened there! I was definitely flying, Klojamir; I actually made it to the top of a skyscraper - it just took a long time - kind of unheroic. I realize if I'd stuck with it it would've improved, I was just a bit underwhelmed.
It's like - finally, I can fly! We've all dreamed about flying at one time or another and I think a lot of the superhero thing has got to be about wish fulfillment - so I was expecting a rush. Unfortunately it wasn't there on first unlocking of the power.
Don't get me wrong, I think COH is a great game. I was able to create the superhero I'd always wanted to be - punk psychic energy kid!
